About The Position

The Manager of Youth Enrichment Programs is an essential leader within the Programs Division and plays a pivotal role in providing high-quality out-of-school programming, services, and resources to elementary to high-school-aged students. They work daily to provide a holistic and well-rounded enrichment program that enhances the student's learning, physical well-being, and social-emotional development. As an integral member of the leadership team at the community centers, this position entails overseeing the daily implementation of diverse programs and operational activities. This includes supervising and coaching staff to ensure program quality aligns with division standards, assisting with the timely submission and diligent follow-up of facility work orders, and managing escalating concerns related to youth or families to ensure a safe and welcoming environment. The manager is also responsible for coordinating and cultivating collaborative partnerships with other program managers and community stakeholders. This collaboration is essential for ensuring a seamless delivery of services, resources, and referrals that meet the unique needs of our youth. Key responsibilities encompass managing onsite data collection processes to assess program effectiveness, overseeing the registration and onboarding of enthusiastic volunteers and program participants, and upholding the code of conduct among all participants to foster a respectful and inclusive atmosphere. The manager ensures that all staff are well-informed and compliant with internal policies and procedures, which is crucial for maintaining organizational integrity. Financial stewardship is another significant aspect of this role. The enrichment youth manager leads fiscal activities related to their program, which include the submission of purchase requests, the consolidation of purchases, and the submission of receipts and invoices. Staying attuned to evolving needs and emerging trends among our youth population is paramount. The youth enrichment manager actively monitors these dynamics and communicates findings to the leadership team, ensuring that program alignment and delivery remain responsive and effective. During evaluation periods, the manager plays a critical role in administering program assessments, collecting data, and understanding reports to inform future improvements and enhancements. Through their efforts, the Manager of Youth Enrichment Programs not only enhances individual well-being but also strengthens the fabric of the community as a whole.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma.
  • Five or more years in youth program delivery preferably, in a community-based setting and in a supervisory role.
  • Previous experience working with elementary to high-school-aged youth.
  • General understanding of program implementation, coordination and assessment.
  • General understanding of budget management.
  • Ability to make sound judgments related to youth, families, and other vulnerable communities while managing equity and risk.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Suite, registration platforms, and other technology related to OCRE employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience in managing a licensed childcare preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Daily onsite coordination of programs, services, and referrals for youth.
  • Daily supervision and coaching of youth staff in youth engagement, facilitation, and other program elements.
  • Manage escalating behavior and family concerns according to division policies and expectations.
  • Submit facility maintenance work orders and follow them through completion.
  • Promote and uphold safety policies and code of conduct to ensure safe environments for all.
  • Ensures all necessary documentation is prepared and submitted for purchases and reconciliation of expenses.
  • Actively engage with community and program stakeholders to understand and report community needs.
  • Help to administer evaluations and data collection.
  • Other duties as assigned.
