About The Position

Frostburg State University (FSU) seeks applications for an exempt full-time Manager of Specifications. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of new construction and renovation projects, preparing budget estimates and reports, preparing project and contract documents, overseeing outside design professionals, and preparation of construction documents. The Manager of Specifications will also manage the project team throughout both the design and construction phases, including monitoring contractor progress, quality of work, materials compliance, coordinating engineering problem areas with contractors, reviewing engineering drawings for constructability and design, and preparing various construction-related permitting documents. The position requires managing and coordinating projects from conception to completion.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in architecture or civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering, or related field.
Proficient and current in AutoCAD for plan preparations.
Minimum of three years of relevant work experience.

Nice To Haves

Five years of relevant work experience.
Experience with design, creating specifications, COMAR, OSHA, and commercial construction and construction management.
