About The Position

Oversees the daily operations of Adult Day Centers, ensuring quality services, safe environments, and positive outcomes for participants. Leads and supports staff, manages program resources, and ensures compliance with all funding, regulatory, and accreditation requirements, including Area Agency on Aging, ODA, DODD, VA, OhioHCP, and CARF standards. Builds relationships with community partners, referral sources, and families to promote and expand services. Serves as a primary point of contact for referrals and families while ensuring programs support the organization's mission and strategic goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Rehabilitation, Psychology, Sociology, Education, or related social services field or minimum 7 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Experience in Community Based services, long-term care and/or Adult Day Services preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience in providing person-centered care and ability to supervise professional and certified staff.
  • At least five years’ experience in Supervision.
  • Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to GESMV’s liability insurance provider.
  • Ability to have reliable transportation as a means of transporting assigned referrals to job interviews in the community, attend meetings, etc.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Ability to pass random drug screenings.
  • Adept at collaborating with internal and external resources to achieve goals
  • Ability to analyze and interpret information and to develop recommendations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and able to quickly shift priorities while meeting all deadlines

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Strong computer skills, including the ability to utilize electronic health records, case management systems, databases, reporting tools, and other technology platforms required to support program operations.
  • Ability to develop, facilitate, and support staff training initiatives, ensuring staff receive required training and maintain compliance with agency, funder, regulatory, and accreditation requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of Adult Day Services programs to ensure quality, safety, and participant satisfaction.
  • Recruit, hire, train, supervise, coach, and evaluate program staff.
  • Address employee performance concerns and administer corrective action in accordance with agency policies.
  • Foster a culture of dignity, respect, inclusion, and ethical conduct for participants and staff.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels and participant-to-staff ratios in compliance with funder requirements.
  • Oversee the development and delivery of meaningful, person-centered, culturally diverse programming.
  • Ensure participant health, safety, security, and well-being, including reporting concerns of abuse, neglect, or exploitation.
  • Maintain accurate participant records, care plans, documentation, billing, and case management data.
  • Monitor program outcomes, enrollment, census goals, and service utilization to meet budget and operational targets.
  • Assist in the development, management, and monitoring of program budgets and resources.
  • Ensure compliance with all funding, regulatory, and accreditation requirements, including Area Agency on Aging (AAA), ODA, DODD, VA, OhioHCP, HIPAA, Medicaid, and CARF standards.
  • Maintain readiness for audits, reviews, surveys, and accreditation activities.
  • Develop, implement, review, and update program policies, procedures, and participant handbooks.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of required reports, statistical data, and quality assurance documentation.
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure compliance with safety, operational, transportation, medication, and facility standards.
  • Identify staff training needs and ensure completion of all required certifications and ongoing professional development.
  • Facilitate regular staff meetings and other program meetings as needed.
  • Partner with internal departments to support reporting, grant requirements, quality initiatives, and strategic objectives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with referral sources, healthcare providers, community organizations, and key stakeholders.
  • Promote and market Adult Day Services to increase community awareness, enrollment, and program growth.
  • Serve as the primary contact for referrals, participants, families, and community partners.
  • Contribute to strategic planning, program development, and implementation of special projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
