Develops, implements, and evaluates systems and programs towards the provision of quality services within REACT and Critical Care Transport (CCT) service lines. Collaborates with Medical Directors, Director, and other members of the team within the REACT department. Actively participates in the development of business plan and outreach for the REACT department. Requires a broad knowledge of critical care/emergency medicine, business development, marketing and planning. Strong problem-solving abilities in complex situations. Maintains clinical proficiency in accordance with HEMS Tier III protocols and practice standards. Possesses experience with process improvement in operations, quality, and organizational change. Holds knowledge of continuous quality improvement management principles and practices. Develops, implements, evaluates, and enforces department and system policies, procedures and necessary protocols to ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies and accreditation organizations. Possesses strong relationship skills with a variety of internal and external contact relationships including physicians, nurses, instructors, EMS providers, and external stakeholders/organizations. Experience in areas of scheduling and providing oversight for day-to-day operations within the department. Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal. Able to communicate effectively and persuasively with individuals and groups through compassion, creativity, and consistent visibility. Foundational knowledge and experience with CAMTS program accreditation. Supports the coordination of budget preparation, determining purchasing priorities, and making capital expenditure recommendations to the Director of EMS. Participates in and leads hospital and department committees. Performs related duties based on departmental and organizational need. Directly supervises 15-25. Indirectly supervises 40-50. Supervisory responsibilities are carried out in accordance with management. Include supervisory responsibilities such as employee evaluations, performance management, and timekeeping as applicable. Other duties as assigned based on department need.
