About The Position
The Manager of Quality is a key leadership role responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing hospital-wide quality, patient safety, accreditation, and improvement initiatives. Lakewood Ranch Medical Center® (LWRMC), located in the heart of the Lakewood Ranch community, has served the people of Lakewood Ranch and surrounding areas since 2004. Requirements
- Degree in Nursing or Health-Related field required
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) certification required
- Minimum 5 years Experience in Quality related field required
- Minimum of 5 years of acute care clinical experience required.
- Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills and customer service skills required
Nice To Haves
- Masters Degree in health related field preferred
- Quality and Management related experience preferred
- Current Florida Nursing Licensure preferred
Responsibilities
- Leads hospital-wide quality and performance improvement (PI) initiatives to enhance patient safety, clinical effectiveness, and operational efficiency.
- Oversees data-driven quality metrics collection, analysis, and reporting to identify trends, improve patient outcomes, and support evidence-based decision-making.
- Ensures compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), state health departments, and other regulatory bodies.
- Directs the hospitals accreditation readiness program, including policy development, staff education, and survey preparation.
- Collaborates with hospital leadership, physicians, and staff to foster a culture of continuous improvement and patient safety.
- Utilizes benchmarking and evidence-based practices to guide decision-making and policy enhancements
- Provides regular reports to hospital leadership, the Board of Governors, regulatory agencies, and accreditation bodies on quality performance and compliance status measures when needed.
- Educates hospital staff on quality improvement methodologies and accreditation standards to ensure compliance and promote best practices.
- Leads multidisciplinary teams in quality improvement projects
