Oversee the Public Safety Program at the hospital, and its remote sites. This program is responsible for the personal safety of the staff, patients, and visitors; the protection of the rights of patients/clients with interactions to the legal system; the physical security of the premises; enforcement of a variety of Hospital policies as well as Federal and State Laws; parking issues and enforcement throughout the main campus and remote sites; and a variety of other safety issues. Standard Management Level Responsibilities: 1. Complies with established division and program policies, procedures, and objectives. 2. Attends a variety of meetings, conference, and trainings as required and/or directed. 3. Demonstrates use of quality improvement in daily operations. 4. Complies with all health and safety regulations and requirements. 5. Encourages and supports diverse views and approaches, demonstrates Standards of Respect, and contributes to creating and maintaining an environment or professionalism, respect, tolerance, civility and acceptance toward all employees, clients and visitors. 6. Maintains regular, reliable, and predictable attendance. 7. Develop and maintain Department-specific Standard Operating Procedures within the Public Safety Department. Review of SOPs with Staff shall occur upon hire, and minimally, annually and when there are changes. 8. Collects data necessary to conduct investigations into all thefts and vandalism incidents. Assists in reaching a conclusion as to the causes and prevention of incidents. 9. Maintains responsibility of the electronic access control system including ID Badges. 10.
