About The Position

The Manager of Procurement - Aviation plays a critical role in overseeing and optimizing the procurement processes specific to the aviation sector within the transportation and warehousing industry. This position is responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely acquisition of high-quality aviation parts, equipment, and services that meet regulatory and safety standards. The role requires strategic planning to align procurement activities with organizational goals, cost-efficiency, and compliance with industry regulations. The manager will lead a team of procurement professionals, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement in procurement operations. Ultimately, this role ensures that the aviation division operates smoothly by securing necessary resources while maintaining budgetary discipline and mitigating supply chain risks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Aviation Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of procurement experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role within the aviation or transportation industry.
• Strong knowledge of aviation industry regulations, standards, and compliance requirements.
• Proven experience in contract negotiation and supplier relationship management.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills enable the manager to secure favorable terms and maintain productive supplier partnerships.
• Leadership and communication skills are essential for guiding the procurement team and collaborating with internal stakeholders to meet organizational goals.
• Analytical skills support the evaluation of market trends, supplier performance, and cost-saving opportunities, driving strategic decision-making.
• Familiarity with procurement technologies and industry regulations ensures that processes are streamlined, transparent, and aligned with aviation safety and quality standards.

• Ensure compliance with aviation industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies throughout the procurement lifecycle.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team to enhance skills, efficiency, and adherence to best practices.
• Monitor market trends and supplier capabilities to identify opportunities for cost savings, innovation, and risk mitigation.
• Prepare and present procurement reports and analyses to senior management to support decision-making.
