About The Position

PharmaCann, Inc. is seeking energetic, results-driven individuals to join their rapidly growing team in the cannabis industry. The Manager of Post Production will oversee and manage the post-harvest and warehouse operations for the Lothian, MD manufacturing facility. This role ensures the efficient, quality-compliant, and safe execution of the operational workflow, from processing harvested plants to distributing finished goods. The position is responsible for continuous improvement through staffing, procedures, and technology, and requires strong communication and collaboration with other PharmaCann departments and leadership. The Manager of Post Production reports directly to the General Manager of Manufacturing.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred at least 2 year employment with PharmaCann to apply.
  • Preferred at least 4 years experience in manufacturing and/or cannabis operations.
  • Preferred at least 2 years of prior leadership experience to apply.
  • Experience managing over 25+ employees is preferred.
  • Advanced electronic and technical skills preferred.
  • Secondary education or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and direct the Lothian, MD manufacturing facility to operate at a high standard using PharmaCann practices and post-production standard operating procedures.
  • Coordinate to maintain proper staffing, workflow, and quality standards, while proactively developing leadership and making practical and technological advancements.
  • Hold post harvest and warehouse standard operating procedures by providing training, coaching, and guidance to department management.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing department management in the execution of weekly objectives, requested projects, and routine planning compliantly and punctually.
  • Communicate and collaborate with supporting PharmaCann departments such as Supply Chain, Facilities, Legal, C&A, Quality Assurance, Controls, Analytics, R&D, Safety, IT, Accounting, Human Resources, 3rd Party Processors, and Retail departments.
  • Take direction from the GM of Manufacturing to improve manufacturing practices through analytics, logistics, R&D, and data collection.
  • Manage the receiving of delivered supplies, materials, and equipment, confirming they match purchase order specifications and completing necessary paperwork.
  • Monitor replenishment stock and forecast future requirements with purchasing; monitor and replenish Min/Max levels.
  • Organize and maintain warehouse and inventory yard areas for efficient material storage and handling, maintaining the overall appearance of both.
  • Assist in conducting quarterly or annual inventory audits.
  • Operate indoor and outdoor forklifts and other necessary vehicles and equipment to handle materials correctly.
  • Manage the coordination to execute weekly objectives, requested projects, and routine plans, compliantly and punctually.
  • Direct leadership, including planning, assigning and coordinating work, appraising performance, disciplining, addressing complaints, and resolving employee issues.
  • Provide effective leadership to employees to ensure alignment with PharmaCann’s vision, mission, and values, maintaining a positive work environment and high morale.
  • Support and manage the coordination of facility events.
  • Provide assistance to the GM of Manufacturing towards manufacturing projects, proactively and creatively achieving effective results within budget and by deadline.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the GM of Manufacturing.
  • Provide direction and training to Manufacturing leadership with a safe, well-maintained, and organized manufacturing facility.
  • Support supervisors of manufacturing departments towards procuring proper supplies and equipment, with recurring purchasing coordination with the Supply Chain department.
  • Assist with providing leadership and direction to departmental employees to ensure the effective use and management of systems.
  • Support the Post Harvest and Warehouse departments towards the direction, coordination, and delegation towards processes of sanitizing, organizing, maintenance, troubleshooting equipment, workspace functionality, and supplies.
  • Support the Manufacturing department towards communication and collaboration with supporting departments and 3rd party partners to proactively resolve equipment, technology, and operational issues.
  • Support the Manufacturing department towards noticeable environmental or product quality concerns, proactively addressing them by finding solutions.
  • Direct the manufacturing management in upholding current laws and regulations towards the manufacturing facility.
  • Adapt to updated laws and regulations to implement safe and effective practices to sustain highest quality standards and efficiencies.
  • Direct the cultivation and processing management in training and supervision to ensure compliance of the manufacturing facility.
  • Manage, coordinate, train, coach, supervise, discipline, and analyze with staff to maintain compliant practices and workflow.
  • Direct the management of the cultivation and processing department towards communication and collaboration with other supporting departments to ensure workflow operation maintains proper reporting, tracking, and compliance.
  • Supervise and manage the Lothian, MD manufacturing facility.
  • Assist with directing and management of employees, including hiring and developing, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining, addressing complaints and resolving employee issues.
  • Ensure that individual and team performance meets the Company’s standards of service and quality.
  • Supervise the Post Harvest and Warehouse departments attendance, time off balances, time off requests, pay change requests, position change requests, and all other attendance and documentation related procedures/processes.
