Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Minimum of 5 – 7 years direct supervision of Environmental Services, Maintenance and/or Biomed Departments.
- Minimum of two years plus years of multi-department management experience.
Nice To Haves
- Certification in healthcare safety and hazmat preferred.
Responsibilities
- Direct supervision of the Plant Operations and Grounds departments, with general oversight of Biomed, Security, Environmental Services, Laundry.
- Provides inservice and education to staff and other hospital employees.
- Effectively manages cost and quality of maintenance services provided to the facility, including service contracts.
- Responsible for budgets, long and short-range planning for equipment, services and construction.
- Works effectively with OSHPD and State Fire Marshal.
- Responsible for the development, implementation, monitoring and annual evaluation of performance improvement programs for facility support departments.
- Attends, schedules and participates in required hospital meetings and functions.
- Gathers, reports and presents statistics as needed to committees, Administration and outside agencies.
- Coordinates TJC preparedness and responds to all regulatory and/or accrediting agencies within the Environment of Care.
