The Manager of Paid Social leads GDM's Paid Social team across all major platforms, including LinkedIn, TikTok, Meta, Instagram, and YouTube. This role is responsible for campaign excellence, team leadership, clear communication with station sales staff, and developing scalable processes that support a fast-growing portfolio. The manager must translate technical social media execution into sales-friendly, client-ready language and help expand GDM's paid social product offerings.

Requirements

  • Five or more years managing paid social teams within an agency or high-volume digital environment
  • Deep hands-on experience with TikTok, Meta, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and emerging platforms
  • Proven ability to translate technical digital concepts into clear, sales-ready language
  • Strong communication skills and experience supporting or working with sales organizations, preferably including broadcast
  • Demonstrated success leading teams, hiring, coaching, and scaling operations
  • Ability to manage high volume with strong organization, attention to detail, and urgency
  • Understanding of analytics, attribution, and social optimization best practices

  • Experience building new processes and contributing to product development is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the Paid Social team, managing workload, performance, and daily operations
  • Oversee campaign strategy, execution, optimization, and quality across all paid social platforms
  • Ensure all communication with station sales teams is clear, sales-minded, and client-appropriate
  • Report to and Partner with the Director of Paid Media & Managed Platforms to grow and evolve GDM's social offerings
  • Build training, best practices, and scalable systems to support increasing campaign volume
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Programmatic, QA, Managed Platforms, Design, GDM Strategy, and Campaign Support
  • Maintain platform expertise and bring forward new product and feature recommendations
  • Assist with escalations, troubleshooting, pacing, delivery, and overall performance management
  • Support forecasting, workflow planning, and resource allocation
