About The Position
RK Electrical is seeking a hands-on Manager of Operations to drive operational excellence in complex commercial electrical construction projects. This role involves partnering with the Director of Operations to enhance operational procedures, implement new programs, train Project Managers, and ensure system adoption. The ideal candidate is a builder and problem-solver who can bring structure to complexity, translate strategy into action, and develop high-performing teams.
Requirements
- Progressive experience in commercial electrical construction, including project management, field operations, or operational leadership.
- Proven experience developing, documenting, and implementing standardized operational processes across multiple projects or teams.
- Demonstrated success leading new program implementations, technology rollouts, or system adoption initiatives within a construction environment.
- Hands-on experience developing and delivering workforce training, coaching Project Managers, and driving consistent execution of new procedures.
- Working knowledge of commercial electrical project operations, including budgeting, cost codes, forecasting, workforce planning, and project controls.
Responsibilities
- Develop, organize, standardize, and implement operational procedures, creating consistent workflows and accountability across electrical construction projects.
- Lead the rollout of new operational programs, systems, and tools, driving adoption through hands-on training, change management, and ongoing performance measurement.
- Train, coach, and develop Project Managers and field leadership on operational best practices, project controls, financial management, and consistent execution standards.
- Partner with project and field leadership to improve day-to-day execution, including workforce planning, scheduling, cost tracking, forecasting, and project risk management.
- Establish operational performance measures, identify process gaps, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, accountability, and scalability.
