Plan, direct and monitor all production activities within the Refinery Lysine process to maximize the use of the organization’s resources and meet established production specifications and schedules; volume, cost wastage targets; and quality standards Develop and implement manufacturing schedules and procedures and allocate labor and capital resources to maximize productivity Analyze production, maintenance, and malfunction records to identify problems and recommend solutions that will improve performance Liaise with functional or operational area managers to understand their current and future product needs and develop plans, cost estimates, and schedules for integrating these needs into existing manufacturing activities Plan, prioritize, and manage production line maintenance or downtimes to minimize disruptions to manufacturing schedules Lead, direct, evaluate and develop a team who are responsible for various production activities Responsible for overall monitoring of the refinery lysine process Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing issues and resolving problems Observing production data and trends to identify and eliminate production inefficiencies and prevent production problems before they occur; Manage all departmental personnel, including hiring, firing, discipline, performance evaluations, timecards, and coaching Responsible for creating, implementing and ensure compliance with departmental training Responsible for ensuring department compliance with company, local, state and federal quality and safety policies, procedures and regulations; Participates in daily, monthly and year-end closing, which may require additional hours worked Ensure all departmental SOP’s, data entry forms are accurate and current; Communicate with other departments to ensure efficient production process; Drive process improvement and improve efficiency while lowering production costs; Facilitate communication between management and operational staff.
