About The Position

The Canadian Brewhouse is seeking a Manager of Learning and Development for a centralized corporate role dedicated to the strategic oversight and implementation of learning and development across all platforms. This role will conduct comprehensive needs assessments to identify performance gaps, while overseeing the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of all training materials and digital learning platforms. Finally, this role will ensure that all stakeholders receive regular comprehensive reports on their respective platform’s training readiness.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in a Training or HR-related role
  • Experience working in Hospitality and Retail environments
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Experience with e-learning authoring tools and technologies (Learning Management Systems).
  • Knowledge of competency-based training and performance management.
  • Working knowledge of project management principles.
  • Ability to assess training needs.
  • Technical experience in data analytics and reporting

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Training, Human Resources or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Continuous evolution of internal Career Paths and Manager-in-Training (MIT) programs.
  • Create structured learning paths and training calendars.
  • Manage the rollout of new materials, processes, and systems with consistency and precision.
  • Develop specialized training modules and materials by working with in-house industry professionals.
  • Serve as the Head Coach on learning platforms and related tools, keeping the tech running smoothly, fixing bugs, and managing user access.
  • Act as the lead training analyst, providing stakeholders with regular reports and dashboards.
  • Implement post-training surveys and assessments to evaluate training effectiveness.
  • Iterate on training materials based on employee feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
