Requirements

  • Experience in accounting, finance, or governmental financial management
  • Financial leadership experience in a housing authority preferred
  • Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to continuous improvement
  • The ability to translate complex financial information into meaningful business decisions

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with public housing, governmental accounting, grants, or Yardi software is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Managing the Authority's day-to-day accounting and financial reporting activities
  • Leading and developing a talented finance team
  • Ensuring compliance with HUD, GAAP, GASB, and governmental financial requirements
  • Overseeing audits, internal controls, and grant compliance
  • Leading annual budgeting and long-term financial planning
  • Monitoring financial performance and identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Partnering with leaders across the organization to promote financial transparency and accountability
