About The Position
The Manager of Evidence Based Practice and Nursing Research collaborates with direct care clinical nurses, clinical nurse specialists, educators, clinical leaders, and El Camino Health staff to develop an ongoing roadmap for evidence-based healthcare. This roadmap includes annual measurable goals, investigative practice policy and guideline review, and coordination of all Magnet processes. The role provides leadership, direction, and approval for research review activities, including IRB interactions and evidence-based practice project coordination. It also assists with grant and manuscript preparation and Magnet redesignation. The manager mentors and facilitates the Nursing Research Council and works collaboratively to improve clinical outcomes, advance nursing knowledge in evidence-based practice and research, and contribute to nursing literature.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in a healthcare-related field.
- Five years of clinical experience.
- Demonstrated competence and experience managing, establishing, and teaching evidence-based clinical practice guidelines and original nursing research principles and concepts.
- Demonstrated ability to teach research methods to a variety of health professionals.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- California Registered Nurse license issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing.
