The Manager of Direct Supports provides care to individuals with developmental disabilities in home and community-based settings. This role involves hiring, training, and managing Direct Support Professional (DSP) employees, as well as participating in individual-specific planning and meetings. The position requires adherence to various Indiana Administrative Code (IAC) rules and regulations, as well as those set forth by the Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services (DDRS), Bureau of Disability Services (BDS), and the Commission on Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). The Manager will oversee various supports including Residential Habilitation and Services (RHS), Day Habilitation (DHI), Respite care services (RSPO), Participant Assistance and Care (PAC), and Transportation. They will assist individuals with self-care, self-direction, communication, mobility, daily living activities, learning, independent living, economic self-sufficiency, physical activity, and community participation. The role also involves assisting Medicaid recipients with specific eligibility criteria. Documentation of incidents, scheduling, management of DSPs, and care coordination are key responsibilities. The Manager will also participate in administrative tasks, program formulation, and quality assurance checks. Proficiency in using technology such as laptops, smartphones, email, AccelTrax/Provide Management Software, and the BDS online portal is expected.
