Under the direction of the Director of Legislative Services/City Clerk, the Manager of By-law Enforcement and Animal Services manages Enforcement and Animal Services through developing regulatory tools, leading enforcement related projects, organizing, planning, directing and coordinating operations. This position has responsibility for developing and implementing policies and procedures, monitoring service levels and managing the division’s performance, advising and consulting with staff to resolve difficult cases/inquiries while meeting the needs of the public. This role is responsible for managing and monitoring the allocation and use of resources to ensure service levels are met, researching and writing regulations, by-laws, and policies, providing reports and professional advice, and liaising with internal and external agencies. This role fosters a culture of customer service excellence and responsiveness, ensuring adherence to City regulations, by-laws, and customer service standards.
