About The Position

To oversee the maintaining of OCHN accurate financial records for the preparation of financial reports due to internal and external stakeholders. Ensure the preparation of monthly financials due to various internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration, Economics, or related discipline.
  • Four (4) years’ experience in financial analysis, business administration, cost accounting, general accounting, governmental fund accounting, systems analysis, personnel administration, or related area.
  • Experience with preparation of local governments financial statements.
  • Proficiency with various financial accountingsystems.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrate leadership skills in a managerial or supervisory position in the public or private sector.
  • Demonstrate interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrate teambuilding skills.
  • Demonstrate oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing monthly financials.
  • Manage preparation for annual MDHHS reporting and organizational audits.
  • Manage annual audits completion.
  • Provide individual supervision and direction for team members as needed, including ongoing plans that allow for continued growth and development.
  • Supervise the preparation of the OCHN’s Audit Financial Statements as well as A-133 single audits in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and (GASB), and acts as liaison with outside auditors in all audit related matters.
  • Managing preparation of annual budget and amendments.
  • Making recommendations for accounting policies updates and changes or language listed within OCHN contracts.
