About The Position

The Manager of Airport Services Training is responsible for leading the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of Above Wing training programs for Airport Services Crewmembers. This role oversees onboarding, recurrent, and advanced training initiatives while managing a team of instructors responsible for delivering consistent, high-quality learning experiences across the network. You will partner closely with Safety, Security, Operations, and Station Leadership to ensure all training programs support operational readiness, regulatory compliance, and JSX’s elevated hospitality standards. This role is based in Dallas, TX and requires on-site work 4 days per week.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Training, Aviation Management, Hospitality, Organizational Psychology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3–5 years of experience in training leadership within aviation, hospitality, or operational environments
  • Experience managing instructors or facilitators across multiple locations
  • Knowledge of FAA, ACAA, and Airport Services operational procedures
  • Strong communication, coaching, and leadership skills
  • Project management and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with LMS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to analyze training performance data and identify opportunities for improvement

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning, design, and facilitation of Above Wing training programs including onboarding, recurrent, and advanced learning modules
  • Ensure training materials align with FAA, Safety, Security, and company policies
  • Partner with operational teams to update curriculum, job aids, and training materials
  • Lead training initiatives supporting station launches, procedural updates, and operational changes
  • Coordinate closely with Below Wing training leadership to ensure alignment across Airport Services programs
  • Manage Airport Services Instructors and Training Supervisors responsible for delivering training programs
  • Conduct coaching sessions, classroom observations, and performance evaluations to maintain instructional excellence
  • Manage instructor scheduling, travel coordination, and training coverage across the network
  • Promote instructor development through mentorship and ongoing feedback
  • Oversee LMS record accuracy and ensure timely completion of training documentation
  • Lead internal audits and quality assurance reviews related to course delivery and compliance
  • Partner with Safety and Operations teams to identify training gaps and operational improvement opportunities
  • Support onboarding classes and coordinate transitions between classroom and OJT environments
  • Track and analyze training performance metrics, completion rates, and instructor feedback
  • Provide reporting and recommendations to leadership regarding training readiness and effectiveness
