About The Position

We are seeking a Manager of Aftercare to join our team. Your role will be responsible for the supervision of Aftercare Case Management Specialists and service compliance with the Kansas Foster Care Grant through the Department for Children & Families. As a member of the KS Foster Care team, you will work with 7 other team members and report to our Director of Aftercare and Independent Living.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of child welfare arena experience
• Bachelor’s degree in social work is required.
• Licensed by the Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board to practice in Kansas is required.
• At least 21 years of age and pass background check, physical, and drug screening
• A valid driver’s license in the state you reside in, proof of current vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of Aftercare Case Management Specialists and the services provided to families who have reached permanency through reintegration, adoption, and other alternative permanency options.
• Provide supervision to team members by monitoring services provides, timeliness of documentation, quality and timeliness of Court Reports, Case Plans, Monthly Reports to DCF and other essential documentation.
• Maintain responsibility for supervision of families assigned to direct reports.
• Accept cases from other foster care Managers and assign to appropriate team members, within policy & procedure.
• Be accessible by phone after hours, holidays and weekends, when assigned as the on-call supervisor.
