About The Position

Evidence Action is seeking a Manager, Nutrition for a 1-year time-bound position, with potential for extension. This role will focus on strengthening existing nutrition programs and supporting the expansion of new ones, including iron and folic acid (IFA) supplementation and small quantity lipid based micronutrients (SQLN-S). The position may also involve exploring additional nutrition interventions identified through Evidence Action's Accelerator process. The Manager will report to the Director, School Health and assist the Executive Vice President with strategic projects and team coordination. The Nutrition team collaborates with country teams, governments, partner organizations, and technical experts to design and scale high-impact, cost-effective nutrition programs, supporting established programs like Deworm the World (DTW) and Equal Vitamin Access (EVA), as well as new initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of work experience designing and implementing global health or international development programs.
  • Experience managing global health/nutrition programs, including the development and management of budgets and workplans.
  • Ability to build relationships across departments, levels, geographies, and backgrounds with an ability to influence a variety of stakeholders in multicultural settings, including researchers, implementing partners, donors, and government officials.
  • Experience engaging in fundraising activities and supporting the development of donor reports.
  • Strong writing skills to draft donor reports, pitch decks, and briefs, with the ability to communicate evidence-based programming and results to a non-technical audience.
  • Ability to build decks and documents for external use (e.g., case studies, reports, concept notes, articles/blog posts).
  • Experience in data analysis with the ability to work through large data sets, create budgets, and manage pivot tables in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience working in an international organization.

  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. for roles based in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical, project management, and strategic support for the implementation of an existing EVA program (particularly SQLN-S in Nigeria), ensuring technically sound implementation and government alignment.
  • Support country team members with strategic and technical guidance, tools, and resources for program implementation.
  • Develop and monitor program workplans, budgets, and milestone trackers to ensure timely, quality implementation.
  • Provide technical and research support to inform long-term goals and implementation pathways.
  • Conduct scoping activities in Africa and Asia to understand the partner landscape, government buy-in, and potential impact and feasibility of program expansion.
  • Support the development of reports to inform the organization’s internal understanding of potential expansion activities.
  • Review the evidence base, cost-effectiveness, and implementation feasibility of nutrition interventions in the Accelerator pipeline.
  • Support the development of initial plans for scoping and piloting interventions as needed.
  • Support the Executive Vice President across strategic team initiatives, including coordinating team objectives and supporting key strategic initiatives.
  • Draft presentations for leadership decision making.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to design cost-effectiveness models, theories of change, MLE frameworks, implementation research studies, surveys, and evaluations.
  • Support identification and engagement with values-aligned donors, including development of fundraising materials and tracking of fundraising work-plans.
  • Provide input on cultivating strategic partnerships with external stakeholders to enable effective collaboration and advocacy.
