About The Position
Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking a motivated and dedicated RN Manager, Nursing and Patient Care Services to oversee and guide the daily operations of one or more clinical areas within their nationally recognized healthcare system. This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth, effective, and compassionate delivery of care within designated clinical areas, leading by example, modeling best practices, promoting collaboration, and driving performance aligned with Sentara’s mission of safety, quality, and patient-centered service. This manager would be responsible for Patient Care Supervisors, Bed Tower, 24/7 Observation Unit, Transition Unit, Transition to Home/Discharge Lounge and Telemetry covering about 80-100 FTEs.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or compact state
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Minimum of 5 years of RN experience in a hospital or acute care setting
Nice To Haves
- Prior leadership or charge nurse experience
- Critical Care Experience
- Strong communication, organizational, and decision-making skills
- Master’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration (a plus)
