About The Position

As Manager, NPC Relations and Planning, you are the trusted link between LA28 and the National Olympic and Paralympic Committees across Asia, Oceania and Africa. In the years leading up to the Games, you guide each Committee through the strategies and resource planning that turn ambition into delivery. You champion Paralympic integration and accessibility so that every delegation arrives known, supported and ready to compete. You create the relationships, plans and systems that do not yet exist, working from ambiguity toward clarity that both teammates and clients can rely on.

Requirements

• Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience, including direct National Olympic or Paralympic Committee experience gained at multi-sport events.
• Direct Olympic and Paralympic Games experience within the National Olympic and Paralympic Committee ecosystem is required.
• In-depth knowledge of the Paralympic Movement and of Paralympic Games operations across both planning and Games delivery.
• Experience within the adaptive community or the wider Paralympic Movement.
• Direct experience working with senior stakeholders and events across Asia, Oceania or Africa at executive level.
• French or Russian language is required, alongside Microsoft Office fluency and exceptional Excel and Smartsheet data management skills.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate and maintain trusted, transparent, and authentic client relationships.
• Support each client in designing strategies and efficient resource planning for successful participation in the Games.
• Manage and track day-to-day client correspondence across assigned continental portfolio ensuring timely, transparent and clear communications
• Support the production of key documents, policies, and client informational resources, and leading the distribution of those resources to clients in a timely, consistent and coordinated manner
• Serve as the client escalation pathway throughout the Games lifecycle, leading and coordinating the consolidation of client issues/feedback and subsequent issue resolution.
• Represent LA28 virtually at seminars and General Assemblies (as applicable) coordinating required meetings and presenting updates to regional stakeholders
• Cultivate and grow trusted, transparent, and authentic relationships across assigned LA28 FA portfolio teams.
• Support each FA in designing strategies and efficient resource planning for successful delivery of services that meet or exceed the expectations of NOCs and NPCs at Games-time.
• Lead client and LA28 discovery meetings, presentations, and planning sessions to capture key information and trends in NOC and NPC planning
• Oversee and maintain the client journey from touch-down to take-off, validating service levels and venue plans impacting the NPC delegation (athlete & team official) journey
• Integrate with LA28 FAs as a trusted and valuable central resource of NPC specific information to support their planning.
• Collaborate closely with the Athlete Relations FA and the Paralympic Integration FA to ensure the Paralympic athlete experience remains central to all planning activities.
• Create strategies and action plans to mitigate identified gaps and meet the demands of respective both NOC and NPC delegations.
• Design highly impactful client visits, webinars, and seminars, developing an effective agenda, liaising with the NCS Services & Operations team, and internal FAs on their participation and generation of post-visit follow-ups and reports
• Serve as a trusted partner and advocate for the NPC and Paralympic athlete community across operational planning activities, including service level reviews, stakeholder journey mapping, venue operating planning, and policy and procedure development.
• Deepen planning and collaboration with the Accessibility and Paralympic Integration teams to ensure the Paralympic athlete and team official experience is monitored, tracked, and delivered in alignment with IPC requirements and LA28 service expectations.
• Represent the NPC voice at Venue and Village planning forums, ensuring Paralympic-specific operational requirements, accessibility considerations, and athlete experience priorities are embedded into planning decisions from development through delivery.
• Act as the primary NCS liaison to the Accessibility, Transition, and Paralympic Integration teams, proactively identifying risks, dependencies, and opportunities to enhance the end-to-end experience for NPC delegations and Paralympic athletes.
• Leverage direct experience within the adaptive sport, disability, or Paralympic community to provide informed guidance, challenge assumptions, and champion inclusive operational solutions that reflect the lived experiences of athletes and team officials.
• Cultivate an inclusive, transparent, honest, and welcoming working environment for direct reports and the entire NCS team
• Support the NCS growth strategy, onboarding process, and day-to-day leadership of future regional team members
• Lead the recruitment process for NPC Relations and Planning roles within assigned region
• Manage status tracking and reporting tools reflecting progress on NOC/NPC, and LA28 FA milestones and deliverable status
• Manage the on-time delivery of program or NOC/NPC regional specific deliverables
• Support the development of budgets and projects plans with well researched and validated client/project requirements and planning assumptions
• Contribute to the design and implementation of core team processes and procedures
• Set clear and measurable objectives to track team progress, performance, and trends to support a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making
• Play a critical lead role in Games-time delivery, supporting the execution of NCS services, events, and operations for both the Olympic and Paralympic Games
• Lead managing real-time operations including issue tracking, resolution workflows, and stakeholder communications
• Contribute to the planning and readiness of the NCS Games-time operations, including schedules, documentation, and workforce coordination for the team
• Support delivery of CdM meetings, NCS spaces, and other key programming
• Support a wide range of operational activities such as team arrivals, workspace setup, stress tests, reporting, ceremonies support, and critical incident response
