About The Position

The Manager, A&D Accounts – East is responsible for driving regional A&D performance, territory sales growth, and profitability while leading and developing a team of A&D Representatives. This hybrid leadership role balances hands-on field engagement with strategic management responsibilities. The position oversees up to six (6) direct reports and is accountable for regional revenue performance, pipeline health, forecasting accuracy, and team development. The ideal candidate is both strategic and focused, with the ability to influence architects and designers, manage key accounts, and coach a high-performing team aligned with company objectives.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of sales experience; management or supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience in A&D sales, specification-driven selling, or architectural/design relationship management preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales and profitability targets
  • Strong forecasting, negotiation, and account management skills
  • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership capabilities
  • Ability to travel regionally
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Regional Sales & Revenue Growth
  • Drive specification activity and regional revenue growth within assigned territory
  • Manage and grow key A&D and major client relationships
  • Assess market conditions and identify new business opportunities
  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with Annual Operating Plan (AOP) goals
  • Maintain ownership of regional pipeline health, forecasting, and profitability
  • Directly manage major and strategic accounts
  • Team Leadership & Development
  • Provide daily leadership, coaching, and performance management for up to six (6) A&D Representatives
  • Conduct regular field travel with team members to support account development and advance active opportunities
  • Establish clear performance expectations aligned to KPIs and company goals
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide training, and support ongoing professional development
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performance team culture
  • Operational & Administrative Management
  • Lead pipeline review and forecasting processes
  • Ensure CRM accuracy, reporting compliance, and data integrity
  • Support budget oversight and sales planning initiatives
  • Coordinate with internal departments including Marketing, Operations, and Credit & Collections
  • Ensure protection and proper use of company assets
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Leadership to support broader initiatives
  • Share competitive intelligence, market insights, and best practices
  • Maintain strong communication with regional and senior leadership
  • Represent the company in industry associations and community organizations
