About The Position

This role provides administrative support for the development of GME residency and fellowship program budgets. The Manager will assist with the development of the annual labor, expense, and capital budgets, review monthly responsibility summaries, and provide tracking and approval of check requests and reimbursements. The position also coordinates and implements special budgetary/financial projects, such as cost analysis, and proactively reviews budgets for negative variance, assisting with strategies to enhance budget compliance. The Manager will also manage restricted funds where available and coordinate with the AHC Medical Education Office on contract revisions and edits for Residents and Fellows. Additionally, this role directs and supervises site Medical Education associates as they relate to GME and UME, conducts regular individual meetings with direct reports, and leads program coordinator team meetings to enhance cooperation and work initiatives. The Manager develops KRAs annually for associates and conducts performance reviews, and is responsible for all Manager Desktop functions for medical education associates, including bi-weekly payroll.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in education or health-related field.
  • 5 years’ of supervisory or management experience.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • 5 years’ experience in medical education service delivery.
  • Ability to synthesize and integrate information and to make critical decisions
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Computer skills, including Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to work in a team oriented environment
  • Ability to function in a complex integrated health care system
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience with expertise in prioritizing own work and work of others
  • Understands and supports faith-based philosophy of AHC.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the program coordinator’s team meetings and works to enhance cooperation and work initiatives between individual residency and fellowship training programs and GME administration.
  • Develops KRAs annually for associates and conducts performance reviews based on the KRA outcomes and the Behaviors of Excellence.
  • Responsible for all Manager Desktop functions for medical education associates, including bi-weekly payroll.
