About The Position

The Manager, Media & Communications Analytics, primarily tracks communications metrics for traditional and social media across IFAW’s channels. This role converts metrics into quantitative and qualitative learnings to enhance IFAW’s conservation storytelling and facilitate knowledge sharing among teams and stakeholders. Secondarily, the position provides Communications support to the Director of the Executive Office.

Requirements

  • In-depth experience in media monitoring and social media analytics.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Communications, Analytics, Media Studies, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and manage a comprehensive media analytics tracker, monitoring all coverage across traditional and social media related to IFAW’s conservation work and priority campaigns.
  • Utilize the platforms of Meltwater, Sprout, Asana, and others as key platforms through which to track, record, and evaluate relevant media metrics.
  • Evaluate the results of IFAW’s individual communications channels to evaluate effectiveness and develop recommendations through which to improve media performance.
  • Work with Communications Leadership team and all members of broader global team to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure help ensure maximum outreach to key stakeholders with a focus on IFAW donors and the general public.
  • Support Executive Office Director with administrative tasks associated with ensuring the operations of the Executive Office as it relates to the focus on Communications.
  • Assist the Executive Office Communications Manager (based in UAE) with all efforts pertaining to the preparation of reports and internal documentation meant to convey the progress, status, and effectiveness of IFAW’s communications efforts.
  • Monitor and flag issues or developments that may require leadership awareness or response from the Executive Office.
  • Support preparation for interviews, speaking engagements, and stakeholder meetings, including briefing materials as needed.
  • Maintain additional trackers (outside of Communications) for Executive Office priorities, key initiatives, and follow-up actions to support leadership decision-making.
