The Manager of Material Services is responsible for maintaining an adequate workforce to meet the cyclical demands of receiving, shipping, and issuing Frontier's multi-million-dollar assets to the appropriate internal and external customers. This role ensures the highest level of accuracy and regulatory compliance for all inventory transactions, managing these functions in a multi-site, multiple-shift environment. The position involves managing, monitoring, and coordinating Safety Management System (SMS) activities, including the development, implementation, and maintenance of the SMS, hazard identification, safety risk assessments, and ensuring the effectiveness of safety risk controls. The Manager advises the accountable executive on SMS performance and improvement needs, and is accountable for achieving safety performance relative to job tasks, managing risks to an acceptable level. They will direct Material Services Supervisors and Material Specialists in daily inventory, shipping, and receiving duties, ensuring regulatory compliance. This role also ensures personnel are properly trained and qualified, manages workflow and workforce scheduling across multiple shifts, and develops/implements best management practices to meet and exceed internal customer expectations. Continuous training, cross-training, and job rotation opportunities are provided. The Manager completes metric and management reports, maintains warehouses in showcase quality, and implements technology for efficiency and accuracy. They indirectly supervise Material Specialists and coordinate with other departments and vendors to support operational requirements. Additionally, they monitor inventory control processes at stations with contract personnel and provide training and support as required.
