The Manager of Material Services is responsible for maintaining an adequate workforce to meet the cyclical demands of receiving, shipping, and issuing Frontier's multi-million-dollar assets to internal and external customers. This role ensures the highest level of accuracy and regulatory compliance for all inventory transactions, managing these functions in a multi-site, multiple-shift environment. The position also involves coordinating the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Safety Management System (SMS), identifying hazards, conducting risk assessments, and promoting safety. The Manager advises on SMS performance and ensures safety risk controls are effective, aiming to keep risks at an acceptable level. They direct Material Services Supervisors and Specialists in daily inventory, shipping, and receiving duties, ensuring regulatory compliance and proper training for all personnel. Workflow and workforce scheduling across multiple shifts are managed to fulfill departmental functions. The role involves developing and implementing best management practices (BMPs) to exceed internal customer expectations and monitoring departmental performance standards. Continuous training and cross-training opportunities are provided. The Manager also completes metric and management reports, maintains warehouse quality, and implements technology for efficiency and accuracy. In departments without supervisors, they ensure personnel have current training and qualifications. This role manages Material Services Supervisors and indirectly supervises Material Specialists, coordinating with other departments and vendors to support operational requirements. They also monitor inventory control processes at stations with contract personnel and provide training and support as needed.
