Learn more about BNSF and our Benefits. The Marketing team serves as a primary contact for all BNSF customers, working to make the shipping experience as easy and seamless as possible. From onboarding new customers to handling rate and service requests to answering billing questions, the Marketing team is focused on building strong customer relationships and ensuring effective communication throughout the shipping process. The team is organized into several critical business units to cater to diverse customer needs and industry demands: Agriculture and Energy, Consumer Products, and Industrial products, alongside specialized units for Customer Support, Forecasting, and Planning. Each of these units plays a role in tailoring our marketing strategies and services to meet the unique requirements of our wide-ranging customer base, ensuring a comprehensive and responsive approach to customer service and engagement. This is a full-time position located in Fort Worth, TX. For certain positions, including this one, employees can work one day per week remotely. Requirements

  • Able to work now and in the future without BNSF’s assistance (whether monetary, through sponsorship, or otherwise) in obtaining, maintaining, or extending employment authorization (including H-1B, STEM OPT/CPT, or TN nonimmigrant status).
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience in sales/marketing, rail operations, or a related industry.
  • Strong ability to quantitatively and objectively analyze business problems and large data sets.

  • Ability to analyze market supply and demand dynamics to develop effective pricing strategy and structure.

  • Exceptional ability to communicate clearly with internal and external customers.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree with a preference in Business, Marketing (B2B), Economics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering.
  • Master's degree.
  • Working knowledge of BNSF’s and the railroad industry’s operational, business, and interline system environment.
  • Working knowledge of the Industrial Products Industries.
  • Experience with Microsoft Suites, TSS, GQL, Tableau, RAPID and Smart.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Marketing and Sales/Account responsibilities for all Military and Government markets and cargo movements.
  • Establish and Maintain relationships with various government and civilian agencies involved in the logistics process of military cargo.
  • Work closely with key internal stakeholders to navigate complexities of military dimensional cargo, including (but not limited to) Clearance, Service Design, Operations, and Waybill.
  • Manage forecasting, pricing, contracts, mid and long term strategy, and ad-hoc analysis.
  • Coordinate operations, rates, and contracts with external third parties necessary to move military cargo (i.e. truckers, crane operators, technical assistance/support vendors, transloaders).
  • Respond in a timely manner to rate requests, contract proposals, emails, and other requests both internally and externally, while ensuring that the response fits within the strategy of the forecast group.
  • Act as BNSF’s SME for the military and government market.
