About The Position

The Department of Marketing Technology & Analytics is currently seeking a full time Manager, Marketing Information Architecture to work in Miami. The Manager, Marketing Information Architecture owns UHealth’s information architecture (IA) across all digital properties and defines the structural frameworks that guide how users locate and engage with content. Reports to the Director, Marketing Digital Experience Platforms and plays a critical role in the enterprise content management system (CMS) migration by leading content modeling, page type definitions, template hierarchy, and redirect governance. Manages a team of content specialists and vendor resources to ensure scalable, compliant, and user-centered digital experiences.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Defines and governs IA frameworks across all digital properties, including site taxonomies, navigation systems, content hierarchies, URL structures, and labeling conventions.
  • Leads content modeling and page type architecture within the enterprise CMS by establishing component hierarchy, template definitions, field naming standards, and governance documentation to support UHealth, Academy, Athletics, and Development content teams.
  • Owns the IA migration workstream by overseeing legacy content inventory, URL mapping, redirect strategy, and phased migration sequencing.
  • Conducts IA research through card sorting, tree testing, first-click testing, and navigation usability studies in partnership with user experience (UX) and research teams.
  • Governs URL structures, metadata schemas, and internal linking patterns and enforces standards across all content management system users and brands.
  • Partners with search engine optimization (SEO) and answer engine optimization (AEO) teams to ensure information architecture decisions support search visibility, structured data implementation, and artificial intelligence answer engine indexing.
  • Maintains governance artifacts, including naming conventions, decision logs, sitemaps, redirect logs, and wireframe-level navigation models.
  • Manages IA specialists and contractors by assigning work, reviewing deliverables, and ensuring delivery quality aligned with migration-critical timelines.
  • Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with University policies and procedures.
  • Ensures employees are trained on controls within the function and on University policy and procedures.
