About The Position

The Manufacturing Specification Manager leads and enhances U.S. specification management by ensuring accurate, compliant product data and processes. This role oversees a team, drives standardization and governance, and ensures effective alignment between global specifications and local execution to support operational excellence, product quality, and business performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field
  • Experience with specification management, master data, or PLM/ERP systems
  • Proven leadership experience within manufacturing or regulated environments
  • Background in operations, quality, or supply chain (5+ years preferred)
  • Experience working with cross-functional and global teams
  • Strong leadership and team development capabilities
  • Expertise in data governance and systems (PLM, ERP)
  • Process improvement mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and prioritization skills
  • Project management experience with ability to manage multiple priorities

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team focused on specification and master data management, driving accountability and continuous development
  • Set team objectives, monitor performance, and support succession planning and long-term capability building
  • Oversee the implementation, localization, and maintenance of manufacturing specifications across PLM, ERP, and related systems
  • Ensure accurate translation of specifications into bills of materials (BOMs), attributes, and master data
  • Manage workload prioritization, task assignments, and timely execution in alignment with defined processes and service levels
  • Establish and enforce data governance standards to ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity across systems
  • Monitor data quality and lead corrective and preventive actions (RCA/CAPA), serving as an escalation point for issues
  • Drive standardization of specification lifecycle processes and identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements
  • Define, track, and report KPIs to measure operational performance and process effectiveness
  • Collaborate with global teams and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment between local execution and global standards
  • Act as a key liaison between manufacturing sites, technical teams, and business functions
  • Lead and support cross-functional projects, managing timelines, resources, and deliverables
  • Coordinate system enhancements, changes, and deployments to improve functionality and performance
  • Manage external service providers, ensuring performance, quality, and SLA compliance
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and EHSS guidelines, maintaining audit readiness and proper documentation
