About The Position

Lead, motivate, and coach the manufacturing quality team to continuously support production by providing on-floor quality support to ensure optimal and cost-effective quality assurance and contribute to the achievement of product quality and production volume targets up to the release of finished goods to the market.

Requirements

  • College/University master’s degree in chemistry, biological sciences, Physical sciences, Engineering or equivalent skills through demonstrated experience.
  • 5+ years' experience in quality engineering in tobacco, food, pharmaceutical or similar FMCG industry.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing process and applicable QMS.
  • Knowledge on Quality tools, root cause analysis, analytical skills and strong ability to transform statistical data into information and influence others.
  • Capability to learn fast and teaching skills.
  • Knowledge of International standards (ISO, GMP, GCP, ICH, GLP, etc), IT skills (MS Office).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience on FDA inspection would be considered as an additional asset.

Responsibilities

  • Guarantee adherence to PMI and legal standards, policies, and environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability guidelines. Foster a proactive, safety-first culture using preventive and predictive approaches in line with our Integrated Operating System
  • Guarantee the required on-floor Quality Support for Reduced-Risk Products to meet and sustain the Philip Morris International (PMI) quality standards.
  • Affirm the self-inspection process through an effective and efficient sampling plan, statistical process control (SPC), and/or digital quality control (Zoom QC).
  • Ensure that quality practices/requirements are shared and deployed on the floor by transferring knowledge and training to stakeholders on new processes, requirements, methods, or guidelines.
  • Provide full support in case of non-conformities, both for product and process.
  • Provide guidance and coordinate Quality team members when needed during investigations, risk assessment, and root cause analysis, leveraging Integrated Operating System problem-solving tools.
  • Ensure that product and material’s non-conformities are investigated in a timely manner and products/materials blocked when required.
  • Ensure that product non-conformity and related Non-Conformity/Corrective Action & Preventive Action (NC-CAPA) processes are managed in order to ensure that quality improvement opportunities are identified and prioritized and action plans implemented.
  • Approve/reject all non-conformities and action plans raised to her/his level.
  • Participate in the creation and review of procedures, work instructions and other required Quality Documents.
  • Provide the related support and training in accordance with the training management system.
  • Provide timely feedback and recommendations for corrective actions to ensure the achievement of performance objectives, support continuous improvement, and implement best practices.
  • Propose, define and implement quality improvement programs to ensure products and processes meet Quality requirements along manufacturing lines leveraging on Integrated Operating System tools, in order to achieve a leading position on quality and to propose cost savings.
  • Perform regular control on the Quality Loss on Good Destroyed (LOGD)’s cost regarding semi- finished goods, finished goods and incoming materials by timely screening blocked stock, taking prompt decision and booking the cost accordingly.
  • Supports to resolve critical consumer complaints, with a focus on consumer satisfaction and assessment of impact or correction of Swedish Match North America processes.
  • Manage and develop a motivated and skilled team to ensure performance levels, professional development and achievement of objectives, in respect of PMI leadership model.
  • Create an environment in which each member of the team is motivated to express their own talent and potential.
  • Develop and drive the execution of a Qualification matrix and training path for each role.
  • Facilitates successful team behavior within Quality Systems and across functional areas.
  • Manages relationships externally and internally.
