About The Position

The Manager Manufacturing Process Engineering role is based out of our Princeton, NJ office. This role is on site daily and will have direct reports. This role is based out of our Point of Care division. Our Point of Care diagnostic portfolio spans key health and therapeutic areas, including infectious disease, cardiometabolic, informatics, and toxicology. At Abbott Point of Care, the work you do directly impacts patient care around the world. Our rapid diagnostic technologies help clinicians make critical decisions when and where they matter most, from hospitals and physician offices to emergency and remote care settings. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant product development, engineering, scientific, or technical leadership experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading projects and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Medical Device or Regulatory Device experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team responsible for designing, developing, and testing new point-of-care diagnostic solutions.
  • Guide product development activities, ensuring designs are reliable, manufacturable, cost-effective, and aligned with customer and business needs.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Marketing, and senior leadership to deliver projects successfully.
  • Identify emerging technologies, market trends, and unmet customer needs that can shape future product innovation.
  • Contribute to business strategies and product roadmaps that support Abbott Point of Care's growth and innovation goals.
  • Solve complex technical and business challenges while balancing product performance, customer experience, timelines, and costs.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within your team.
  • Stay current on advancements in diagnostics, healthcare technology, and point-of-care testing to help keep Abbott at the forefront of the industry.
