About The Position

The Manager, Manufacturing Finance, Salty serves as a trusted finance partner to manufacturing and plant leadership in Indiana. This role combines financial planning and analysis with hands-on operational support to translate manufacturing performance into clear priorities, informed tradeoffs, and actions that improve cost, productivity, and business results. Working with limited supervision and across multiple stakeholders, you will bring financial rigor to planning, reporting, and continuous improvement while strengthening financial data quality and performance management.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in financial roles, preferably including manufacturing finance, consumer packaged goods, cost accounting, plant controllership, and/or financial planning and analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial modeling, business partnership, and coaching or developing others.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency and experience with financial or analytical systems such as SAP, Oracle, Alteryx, or Tableau.
  • BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required.

  • Master’s degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with plant and operations leaders to interpret financial and operational results, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend actions that improve performance.
  • Lead analysis of manufacturing costs, including labor, overhead, materials, efficiency, waste, standard costs, conversion costs, and cost center performance.
  • Drive root cause analysis and financial follow-through for cost, productivity, continuous improvement, and operational performance gaps.
  • Lead site-level budgeting, forecasting, annual operating plan inputs, scenario modeling, and risk and opportunity planning; challenge assumptions to strengthen plan credibility.
  • Lead month-end variance analysis, performance narratives, and timely analytical reporting for plant, business unit, and enterprise finance partners.
  • Translate operational measures such as equipment effectiveness, downtime, and scrap into financial outcomes that support resource allocation and operational decisions.
  • Improve reporting, analytical tools, repeatable finance processes, and financial data quality in partnership with cross-functional teams.
  • Coach and develop finance analysts or accountants while supporting broader manufacturing finance capability development.
