This role involves managing manufacturing engineering processes, ensuring design for manufacturability, and overseeing the documentation, assembly, and testing of electromechanical assemblies. The manager will interface with R&D, engineering, production personnel, contract manufacturers, and suppliers to define, develop, and implement manufacturing methods, processes, and procedures. Key responsibilities include establishing critical process controls, managing resources and schedules, identifying product and process characteristics, performing failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA), and developing control plans. The role also involves production process planning, standardization, creating work and inspection instructions, training operators, problem-solving, managing product and process changes (PCN), designing and improving production equipment, and supporting sales, quality, and lean manufacturing initiatives. New project transfers and other assigned duties are also part of the role.
