Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience within aerospace, precision machining, or advanced manufacturing
  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing engineering teams
  • Strong understanding of CNC machining, aerospace manufacturing processes, tooling, and process development
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and aerospace specifications
  • Experience supporting AS9100 quality systems
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
  • U.S. Person status required due to ITAR regulations

  • Aerospace OEM or Tier 1 supplier experience
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
  • Experience with automation and advanced manufacturing technologies
  • ERP/MRP system experience
  • New product introduction (NPI) leadership experience
  • Capital equipment implementation experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Manufacturing Engineers and technical staff
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes that improve efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize throughput
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and production readiness activities
  • Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Program Management teams
  • Analyze production data and implement corrective actions to improve KPIs
  • Oversee process documentation, work instructions, routings, and manufacturing standards
  • Lead capital equipment and automation projects from concept through implementation
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace quality requirements and regulatory standards
  • Support root cause investigations and corrective action activities
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational improvements
  • Champion a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
