About The Position

The Manager Managed Care Contracting is responsible for negotiating managed care contracts with payers and maintaining payer relationships for the health system. They are responsible for monitoring and evaluating managed care contracts, performance, and reimbursement rates to identify areas for improvement. The Manager Managed Care Contracting will collaborate with finance, legal, compliance, and operations teams to ensure contracts meet regulatory requirements and organizational standards. They will stay abreast of changes in healthcare reimbursement, regulatory requirements, and industry’s best practices. The Manager prepares accurate and comprehensive reports that present data and conclusions in a meaningful and concise format. Financial and statistical reporting may include trending analysis and projections, competitive/comparative studies, regulatory analysis and financial impact reports. The Manager acts as an internal financial and strategic consultant to management and provides support to new businesses and services as needed. This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in healthcare finance
  • Well-developed computer skills required to effectively manipulate data and reports
  • Excellent analytical and communication abilities required
  • Ability to work collaboratively across clinical, operational, and financial teams
