The Manager Maintenance is responsible for the maintenance of production equipment and some processes. This role requires adherence to company policies and procedures, and involves developing and maintaining a qualified team to maintain all equipment. The manager will coordinate the activities of workers engaged in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment, analyze and resolve work problems, and execute effective predictive and preventative maintenance programs to minimize unscheduled downtime. Additionally, the role involves scheduling and directing all maintenance personnel, coordinating training, participating in hiring and disciplinary actions, and collaborating with other departments to resolve maintenance issues and ensure efficient operation of manufacturing equipment. The manager will also review reports, confer with the Production/Technical Manager, and ensure the plant equipment and facility are maintained and repaired. This includes maintaining preventive and predictive maintenance programs with necessary documentation, coordinating the maintenance department inventory system, and staying updated on the latest maintenance and repair techniques. The manager will also ensure the facility is clean and safe, study production schedules to estimate worker hour requirements, recommend equipment modifications, and direct support for new equipment launches. Employee safety is a key responsibility, including enforcing safety compliance and ensuring proper training on OSHA mandated regulations.
