About The Position

The Manager, Maintenance Scheduler is responsible for developing maintenance programs, training, and plans for preventative corrective maintenance. Manages the work order and maintenance tracking systems. Responsible for establishing survey and inspection programs. Maximizes the utilization of maintenance resources and participates in overall strategy. Participates in the preparation of the maintenance departmental budget, providing cost estimates for assigned projects, and monitors costs against budget. Supports turnaround activities; assists in developing critical path plans and budgets. Provides information for daily, weekly and/or monthly reporting requirements. Ongoing communication with operations management and procurement staff. Sets goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational results. Problems faced may be difficult but typically are not complex. Ensures policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports, customers, and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of cumulative experience in field management, scheduling, process improvement, or related areas.
  • Minimum of 2 years of managerial or leadership experience with direct reports.
  • Intermediate understanding of the industry, including the ability to assess competitor strengths and weaknesses, recognize opportunities, and implement efficiency improvements.
  • Proficiency in PC skills and CRM knowledge preferred.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong skills in staffing, development, and appraisal.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong orientation towards customer service, quality, and results.
  • Ability to be an effective member of project teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement scheduling protocols and training programs.
  • Evaluate productivity and optimize production efficiency.
  • Run reports and prepare analytical statistics to monitor KPIs.
  • Prepare and present results, alternatives, and recommendations to support business decisions.
  • Manage project costs and schedules, mitigating potential risks.
  • Lead training activities for staff development and coaching.
  • Provide data and information to effectively coach and mentor the maintenance team.
  • Set career and skill development activities to enhance team effectiveness.
  • Participate in the development of strategic departmental programs and plans.
  • Partner with Senior Leadership and Management as an advisor in functional disciplines.
