About The Position

This position is responsible for supervising the maintenance of production equipment, buildings, and utilities, including ammonia compressors, offal, and the Wastewater Department. Responsibilities include assisting with planning and implementing plant improvements and expansions, ensuring all maintenance personnel are well-trained on the most updated versions of operating equipment and other maintenance skills, and providing a safe workplace that complies with all safety and regulated programs. The role involves constantly monitoring the operation of plant equipment and systems to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate and solve problems in a timely manner, and identify issues. It also includes establishing and maintaining a computerized maintenance management system (SAP) for tracking work orders and ensuring an adequate inventory of replacement parts. The position requires making recommendations for improving plant operations and solving maintenance-related problems through data analysis. Additionally, it ensures that all maintenance personnel are properly trained, equipped, and motivated for safe, timely, and efficient accomplishment of maintenance programs and processes. The role also ensures the Coastal Training system is in place and communicated to maintenance personnel, providing necessary resources for skillsets. A tracking system is maintained to assist in analyzing key maintenance parameters such as asset utilization, maintenance cost, and PM compliance. Other duties include ensuring compliance with all safety, health, OSHA, PSM, and environmental policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations. This includes ensuring the safety program is communicated and enforced. The role involves monitoring and administering the purchasing and use of all parts, equipment, materials, and supplies utilized in the maintenance department. It also ensures that the refrigeration system and wastewater systems are well-maintained and meet all regulatory guidelines. The position administers the maintenance budget and ensures the achievement of financial goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 6 plus years of maintenance experience.
  • Standard computer skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Some public speaking skills.
  • Industrial Maintenance in fields such as electrical, refrigeration, hydraulics, or mechanical.
  • Supervisory experience responsible for supervising a group of personnel.
  • Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
