Directs and manages all functions and processes related to acquiring and maintaining Magnet Recognition® as established by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Magnet Recognition Program. Serves as the liaison between the organization and ANCC Magnet Program Office. In conjunction with the Chief Nursing Officer, interprets and translates the Magnet Model and develops vision, strategies and tactical plans to maintain Magnet. Directs the ongoing assessment and evaluation of nursing services and nursing practice for evidence of Magnet Model components and achievement of empirical outcomes. Collaborates with nurses and nurses leaders across Froedtert Hospital in planning, designing, implementing and evaluating structures, processes, programs and functions that align with Magnet Recognition. Advices and educates nurses, nurse leaders at all levels, administrators, physicians and the interprofessional health care team on matters related to Magnet. Promotes, advocates for, role models, creates and inspires nursing excellence and enculturation of the Magnet Model Components. Provides leadership, direction and support for achieving and sustaining other specialty nursing and patient care certifications, recognitions and regulatory compliance.
