About The Position

The Manager, Logistics & Distribution leads people, workflows, and daily delivery for a defined operation or professional logistics scope. The role is accountable for accurate, compliant, reliable, and efficient physical flow, translating approved priorities into work schedules, resource plans, performance expectations, and escalation paths. It owns the quality, timeliness, safety, and service of assigned outcomes and makes day-to-day decisions concerning warehousing, inventory, distribution, providers, cold chain, or trade execution within established policy and delegated risk authority. The manager aligns stakeholders and external providers around commitments, issue resolution, and accountable handoffs, escalating decisions beyond the role’s authority. The role develops people and maintains GDP and applicable GMP, chain-of-custody, data-integrity, dangerous-goods, security, trade, documentation, and inspection-readiness discipline. Scope may span a country, multiple markets, a region, or global operations, depending on the position and business needs. The role partners with Moderna Digital and Logistics Engineering to define operational requirements and support deployment of automation and digital solutions, and supports real-time integration with third-party logistics providers and carriers. It operates the logistics hub’s upstream warehousing and air, road, and sea transportation, ensuring efficient material flow across inbound, warehousing, intercompany, and outbound activities. It ensures GDP-compliant shipping, handling, validation, and customs-clearance processes; manages compliance documentation; monitors performance and operational risks; and optimizes cost-to-serve while maintaining reliability and compliance. The position follows Moderna’s 70/30 in-office work model. Moderna describes its work environment as smoke-free, alcohol-free, and drug-free. The role may involve access to technology or data subject to U.S. export-control laws; eligibility is limited to U.S. persons, and Moderna cannot sponsor non-U.S. persons for an export-control license. The position’s salary range is $109,200 to $174,600, with possible eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus, other incentive compensation, or an equity award, subject to plan criteria and individual performance.
