About The Position

Cayenta, a division of Harris, is seeking a Manager, Learning Services who is a skilled and experienced Learning Services leader with overall responsibility for the Learning Services department in Professional Services. This role includes direct people leadership of training staff and focuses on the delivery of training and development for customers across both new implementations and the existing client base. The Manager will work closely with the rest of the Services Senior Team, stakeholders and knowledge managers in other departments, partners and vendors to develop these programs to ensure growth and increased profitability within the Services Team through improved utilization and operational efficiencies. This position prioritizes educational needs for Cayenta's customers, designs and delivers training programs to improve knowledge, skills, and consistency in delivery. Additional responsibilities may be requested as the role evolves. To be successful in this role, you should have solid experience organizing trainings and designing the educational curriculum. This position will report to the Director, Client Services of our Cayenta business unit. This remote role welcomes candidates anywhere in Canada and the US. Travel is required as needed, up to 25%. Candidates must hold a current, valid passport and be legally eligible to travel internationally. This includes either passport based visa exemption or possession of any required travel visas for entry into Canada, the United States, and the Caribbean.

Requirements

  • BSc/MSc in Organizational Psychology, Adult Learning, Human Resources, Learning and Development, Organizational Psychology, or a relevant field.
  • Familiarity with the full continuum of the learning model, including assessment, design, development, delivery, evaluation, and incorporating current technology, strategic communication, and change management plans.
  • Experience in the strategic design and implementation of an enterprise learning strategy.
  • Microsoft Office expertise.
  • Ability to leverage strategic thinking skills and collaborate with team members on best practice and change management implementation.
  • Ability to delegate effectively and influence others at all organizational levels.
  • Work experience as a Training Manager or in a similar role.
  • In-depth understanding of traditional and modern training methods, including workshops, simulations, e-learning, and coaching.
  • Experience organizing training activities in a corporate environment.
  • Hands-on experience with project management and budgeting.
  • Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

  • Plan training programs based on business goals.
  • Oversee learning activities, curriculum, and resources.
  • Lead, coach, and manage a team of training staff, including hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and ongoing development.
  • Manage revenue forecasts.
  • Evaluate the results of learning courses.
  • Implement coaching sessions and mentorship programs to establish a culture of continuous learning.
  • Recommend new training methods, including e-learning courses and game-based platforms.
  • Design and develop professional development and training programs and resources using instructional design principles and a variety of delivery methods such as instructor-led sessions, computer-based training, and enhanced PowerPoint materials.
  • Think strategically and be innovative about how professional development and training can contribute to company and department goals.
  • Lead the development of customer training, including webinars, in-person training, and job aids.
  • Coordinate and supervise the work of outside vendors involved with training and development, including vendor selection, management, and billing.
  • Develop strategy and vision for the use of training practices, such as needs assessment methods to analyze the learning needs of the field and determine the most effective learning interventions.
  • Assist with educational and development aspects of conferences, including presentation of workshops and other training activities, and contribute to the team to provide outstanding customer service prior to, during, and following the event.
  • Manage and expand Services offerings and partnerships.
  • Work with Sales to maximize business opportunities.
