Requirements

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Business, Supply chain or other relevant fields.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience for Master and 7 years of experience for Bachelor degree with relevant experience in a demand planning/forecasting/supply planning role.
  • Capability to work with large datasets and develop diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics models.
  • MS Office knowledge is must.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident of U.S. or otherwise authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, integrate statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.
  • Coordinate between cross-functional teams to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions.
  • Interact with sales, marketing, and finance teams to understand demand forecast drivers.
  • Develop demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of a demand planning function.
  • Generate a consensus forecast by working with Sales, Marketing and Finance to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts.
  • Provide input to the Supply Planning organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.
  • Closely coordinate and communicate customer action plans with supply planning.
  • Conduct Monthly Meetings with Customers.
  • Prepare and provide status updates to the Planning Head in all review meetings.
  • Identify areas of improvement while continuing to assist in risk assessment and mitigation activities.
  • Interact regularly with global supply chain teams to ensure alignment in priorities.
  • Complete special projects and assignments as requested, including automation of existing processes, data management for FTS, and coordinating and preparing data for monthly S&OP.
  • Identify the key molecules that affected the forecast accuracy & publish the results on a monthly basis.
  • Implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy to achieve targets agreed with management.
  • Maintain Database for reports like Forecast Accuracy, Forecast Bias, Forecast Fidelity, New Business Bids, Data for S&OP etc.
  • Provide support in developing seasonal demand forecasts along with customers promotional event volumes.
  • Collate data from Bids, RFP, OTB’s & Customers Event / promotions, use it for demand generation.
  • Integrate demand volumes with latest estimate volumes and value to arrive at sale value for rolling 18-24 months.
  • Leverage emerging AI capabilities to identify opportunities for process automation, improve demand planning analysis and insights, and enhance forecasting decision-making efficiency.
