About The Position

As the Operations Manager, you’ll lead a Local Distribution Center and ensure it’s effectively integrated within the broader regional network. You’ll be responsible for overall operational performance, including safety, execution of operational plans, budget management, and maintaining shipping and inventory accuracy. This role also involves leading, developing, and managing the performance of the distribution center team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 8 years relevant experience.
• Previous direct management of a large, multi-shift, high-volume, fast-paced warehousing environment.
• Knows distribution center best practices, policies, procedures, and terms of trade.
• Excellent leadership and ability to build successful teams.
• Familiar with Lean distribution methodologies.
• Knowledge of fiscal control, budget forecasting, and distribution operations metrics.
• Excellent decision making and creative problem solving skills.
• A steady performer under pressure.
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

• HVAC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring all training is completed and OSHA standards are followed
• Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
• Overseeing maintenance of equipment and machinery
• Driving warehouse productivity through continuous improvement and standardization
• Managing inventory to ensure accuracy, availability, and high customer service levels
• Identifying and resolving operational issues while making sound, timely decisions
