Reporting to the Director, Natural Resources, the Manager, Lands & Title is responsible for the leadership and oversight of the Haisla Nation Council’s Lands & Title program. This includes the administration and implementation of the Haisla Land Code and related land management regulations; facilitating land use planning and development approvals in accordance with community priorities, cultural values, and environmental considerations; supporting economic development initiatives on Haisla Lands; and the protection and preservation of cultural significant sites, sacred places, and traditional territories. To ensure the effective management of the Haisla Nation Council’s land assets, the Manager, Lands & Title works closely with knowledge holders, Elders, and cultural leaders as well as with senior leadership, and other partners. The Manager, Lands & Title is responsible for the leadership, management, and supervision of the Enforcement Officer, Lands Clerk, and Lands Code Coordinator.
