About The Position

This position is responsible for managing an analytical laboratory that provides chemical, microbiological, and environmental testing services to multiple raw, further processed, and prepared food production facilities. Key responsibilities include managing the laboratory’s quality assurance program, maintaining laboratory safety, overseeing customer relations, ordering supplies, handling billing, ensuring equipment and facility maintenance, supervising personnel, and performing various administrative tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Chemistry, Biology, or another Physical Science.
  • Three or more years of bench-level analytical experience in chemistry or microbiology.
  • Two or more years of experience working in an ISO 17025–certified laboratory.
  • Extensive experience with LabWare LIMS, Microsoft Access, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong verbal communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of management.
  • Supervises analysts performing chemical and microbiological analyses.
  • One or two trips per year, typically lasting two days each.
