About The Position

The Manager, IT Operations provides leadership for Cambrian’s day to day IT operations environment under the direction of the Vice President, IT Operations & Security. They are responsible for the reliable, secure, and efficient delivery of core IT operational services, including infrastructure, endpoints, service management, operational support, and technology service continuity, ensuring alignment with business needs and service expectations. The Manager leads the IT Operations team and is accountable for operational performance, service support processes, technology lifecycle management, incident and problem resolution, change execution, and continuous improvement. They work closely with internal IT teams, project teams, vendors, and business leaders to maintain stable operations, improve service delivery, and support the implementation of technology solutions across the organization.

Requirements

  • A college diploma in Information Technology, Computer Systems, Network Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum 7 years of progressive experience in IT operations, infrastructure, or technical support environments, including leadership experience.
  • Strong technical understanding of enterprise infrastructure, endpoints, networks, Microsoft 365, Azure, and operational support services.
  • Proven experience leading service delivery, operational support, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of IT service management practices and frameworks such as ITIL.
  • Experience with operational monitoring, endpoint management, patching, change management, and technology lifecycle processes.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to operate effectively in a complex environment with multiple priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in regulated environments is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications such as ITIL, Microsoft, or infrastructure related certifications are considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day IT operations function, ensuring reliable delivery of infrastructure, endpoint, service desk, and operational support services.
  • Oversee operational processes including incident, problem, request, change, and service continuity management.
  • Manage the performance, availability, and maintenance of core IT infrastructure, enterprise systems, and workplace technology services.
  • Lead operational monitoring, issue resolution, root cause analysis, and service restoration activities to minimize business disruption.
  • Coordinate technology lifecycle activities including hardware refresh, software deployment, patching, and asset management.
  • Support execution of operational security controls in partnership with information security and infrastructure teams.
  • Establish service measures and provide reporting on operational performance, service issues, trends, and improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with project teams and business stakeholders to support implementation, transition, and operational readiness for new technology solutions.
  • Manage vendor relationships and support contracts related to operational services and technology platforms.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor the IT Operations team while promoting service excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
