The Manager/Senior Manager – Investments will report into the head of public markets, hedge funds and direct investment transactions and part of the RFOC investment team. The RFOC investment team is responsible for the management and monitoring of the investment platform. The Manager / Senior Manager is accountable for the evaluation, selection, and ongoing oversight of public markets and hedge fund investments across the RFOC investment platform. The role spans fund due diligence, portfolio oversight, investment selection across public markets (equity and fixed income) as well as hedge funds investments. The position also involves portfolio-construction and other ad hoc projects in close collaboration with other investment team members. The successful candidate pairs rigorous analytical work with clear communication to recommend opportunities, monitor risks, and advance the firm’s priorities. The role is part of a small team where adaptability and versatility are key attributes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
  • 5+ years of professional investment experience in manager selection / investment due diligence.
  • A demonstrated ability to work effectively with internal and external partners and build strong relationships
  • A passion for investing with a desire to follow investment markets and their dynamics.
  • Proficiency with investment analytics/portfolio systems (Bloomberg, Pitchbook), and comfort with API/data automation.
  • Strong command of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong written and verbal communication—able to distill complex analysis into clear, compelling presentations for senior stakeholders and clients.
  • Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment; strong attention to detail and follow-up
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to build trust with internal teams and external partners.
  • High integrity, sound judgment, and discretion with sensitive information.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in co-investments is an asset.
  • Preference for background in hedge funds, public equity, and public fixed income strategies.
  • CFA and/or CAIA is an asset.
  • Working knowledge of VBA, Python, SQL, and Power BI is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead investment due diligence processes and demonstrate strong transaction execution capabilities across various external asset management strategies, including but not limited to public equities, public fixed income, and hedge funds.
  • Support the head of public markets, hedge funds and direct investment transactions with the underwriting of co-investments.
  • Prepare investment memos and present recommendations to senior leadership and the Investment Committee (IC).
  • Collaborate with operations/compliance/reporting on documentation, subscription, and closing workflows.
  • Oversee and report on the public markets, hedge funds and co-investments portfolio
  • Support client team with data and analyses related to the public market and hedge funds investments.
  • Write up of quarterly talking points.
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with general partners (GPs).
  • Contribute to portfolio construction and ad hoc research projects
  • Stay abreast of global capital-market conditions to identify strategic initiatives and opportunities across regions and themes.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned; contribute positively to a collaborative, entrepreneurial team culture.
