About The Position

BlackRock is seeking a highly motivated Associate to join the Hedge Fund Investor Relations (HF IR) team based in New York or London. The team supports capital formation, investor engagement, and platform initiatives across BlackRock’s hedge fund strategies within the Portfolio Management Group (PMG). This role will initially focus on internal coordination and execution across fundraising initiatives, investor servicing, and cross-functional platform activities. The position plays a key role in ensuring the seamless preparation and delivery of investor communications and capital-raising processes. The successful candidate will partner closely with senior HF IR professionals, the hedge fund strategy function, portfolio managers, and key internal stakeholders across the Client Businesses, Global Product Solutions (GPS), Technology & Operations, and Legal & Compliance. The team engages with a diverse allocator base across both institutional and wealth channels, including pensions, endowments, sovereign institutions, family offices, private banks, and wealth management platforms. Over time—typically within 12–24 months, depending on performance and business needs—the role will evolve to include direct allocator engagement, participation in roadshows and investor meetings, and increasing client coverage responsibilities. This position could be located in either New York or London and offers an opportunity to gain broad exposure to the hedge fund ecosystem while developing toward a client-facing investor relations role.
